On Saturday 26 March St Mary-le-Tower band achieved 3rd place in the prestigious National 12-bell striking competition eliminator at Bury St Edmunds. They now go through to the finals to be held at Guildford on 25 June. This is a massive achievement and just recognition for the incredible amount of practice that has gone on over recent months.

le- in central Ipswich. Tower
There has been a ringing tradition here for over 300 years and certainly from 1896-1939 the St Mary-le-Tower society was one of the leading twelve-bell Companies in the land. Over 700 peals have been rung here, many of them for notable occasions.
